The nearest beach is the beach infront of the Casa Negro in “Koumbes” area, just outside of Rethymno town centre. 

Additionally, the long sandy organised beach of Rethymno with its numerous water sports is only 3 km away.

Rethymno beach is located 500m east of the city centre and it is a beach with golden sand and crystal clear shallow water, very well organized and close to all amenities of the city. It offers numerous beach bars, restaurants and cafes that offer umbrellas with sun beds, showers and changing rooms. Furthermore, there is a boardwalk which is ideal for afternoon walks by the sea, or simply shopping or dining.

Also, the beaches nearby to the house that we suggest you to visit are:

- Episkopi (11 km): Is a long sandy beach, 3.5km long. It is well organized, since there are many hotels, restaurants, taverns, and beach bars.

- Georgioupoli (20 km): Is a long sandy beach with many beach bars or restaurants located there. It is a well organised beach strip providing sun beds, umbrellas and showers. Of course you can certainly find a quiet spot in an unorganised section of the beach as it runs 3.5 kilometres long.

In the South coast of Crete you can also find some of the most amazing natural beaches of Crete like “Schinaria”, “Damnoni”, “Triopetra”, “Agios Pavlos” and “Preveli". The distance to the South coast is about 40 minutes from the villa by car.
